Customer Reviews
We traveled here in late January. They upgraded us to the top floor, which was nice. The room was upward of $525 per night, plus the resort fee. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The buffet every morning was nice — the usual you’d find at any Hyatt resort. The hotel is within walking distance of Gainey Village, with many places to eat if you don’t want to dine at the hotel.
The location is gorgeous with top notch amenities. Great service all around and thoroughly enjoyed food and drinks. I was on a work trip so I did not appreciate how loud the courtyard area was when trying to rest/sleep (my room overlooked this area). The pillows may be the most uncomfortable - a general consensus with all of my co-workers - so that contributed to the restless stay. Overall a great resort, but may not be my first choice if I head back that way.
Our guest room was spacious beautiful great location. Loved the lighting around the base of the bed. The bed sagged lower on the left side. The band performing in the hotel lobby was very enjoyable! Unfortunately the Lobster Mac and Cheese I ordered at the bar made me sick on my stomach having to use the bathroom all night long resulting in lack of sleep.
Stayed at the Grand Hyatt Scottsdale from February 22–25 using a Guest of Honor award with Explorist status. The resort grounds are beautiful and very well maintained, and overall we enjoyed our stay. We visited during the week while two conferences were happening back to back, which meant the hotel was at full capacity. Even with that, the pool areas and evening restaurants never felt overly crowded. One thing to be aware of is that several on-site restaurants were closed on Sunday and Monday, which limited dining options during our stay. Because of the conferences and high occupancy, we did not receive an upgrade despite GOH status. It was a little disappointing but understandable given how full the resort was. There was also lots of confusion amongst staff on breakfast benefit, front
Beautiful resort. Although we didn't travel with our children, I saw there was something for everyone. Beautiful pools-- both family and adult only. There was a beach-like area, a water slide, a pool volleyball court. The hotel was extremely clean. The food was excellent at the two restaurants-- Tiki Taka and Mesa Centrale. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The indoor/outdoor lobby bar was a wonderful place to sit and relax. The beautiful weather did not hurt at all. I would definitely return with my children.
