Grand Beach Hotel Surfside West

Very difficult to reach staff members on the phone. Tried with my cell phone multiple times and gave up . Phone in my room was also not working . No thermostat to adjust room temperature. . Noisy rooms as they face collins Avenue which is busy and thin doors to hallway and adjoining room. For what they are charging for the room expect way better service and experience. They also tack on a 40 dollar resort fee even though most amenities are at the property across the street. Long day at a meeting no rest for the next day ! (Video is 5 am in the morning) Adding to review after response from hotel. I did attempt to contact the front desk/reception to see if i could change rooms. Broken phone in the room . Multiple attempts using my cell phone, no answer.

Grand beach hotel surf side offers two sides a main hotel and west across the street. Main hotel has large seating area with pools and hot tubs. cold water and sun bum lotion is provided at both pool decks as well as towels. There is also a bar, restaurant and small gift shop. Beach access is from main hotel and lounge chairs, umbrellas and towels are offered free of charge. West side offers a roof top pool area. There was a bar but it was closed and any drinks had to be ordered and brought up from the main hotel. Many of the seats were missing cushions and the area itself was not as clean as you'd expect for the price of the room. Our shower didn't drain but maintenance was sent up right away and fixed the problem. Rooms are spacious but not soundproof as i heard everything going

We loved this hotel. Its small, and most of the amenities you might feel are missing are available across the street at their other hotel, but this was exactly what we needed. we had a suite, which has 2 bathrooms/ showers and a lovely sitting area. the rooms were clean, and fresh. We had access to the beach across the street, the pool was quiet and clean, the staff was friendly, helpful and able to answer our questions about the area. We're already looking to book our next stay!

Currently staying in the grand beach Surfside west. There's no cribs or pack n plays available for my baby. Expect no customer service regarding needing anything for your room. If you need to store milk in the fridge for you baby, you will have to empty out fridge that hotel stuffed up, and put hotel stuff away Somewhere else , because hotel will not take stuff from fridge, and there is no extra fridges available because it's a busy season. There's no bathtub for baby. We asked numerous times for help setting up couch bed because we need sheets, blankets, etc . to use it... So couch bed is not really considered bed tonight. Completely disappointed with our stay at this property. We had issues with housekeeping not coming multiple days during our stay, When I brought our concerns to the management, they informed me that due to the fact that I booked through a 3rd party, I had to wait until our stay was completed to request a partial refund. After the stay, the hotel informed hotels.com that I had to make the request before the stay was completed and they would not offer a refund. I feel as though we were lied to by the management and we did not receive towel service or have the room cleaned multiple nights. The property itself was beautiful it was just very disappointing that the service did not match the level of service expected for the price we paid for the room.
