Grand Beach Hotel Surfside

I have never written a review on TripAdvisor but feel compelled to so. First, the compliments. The valet, and bell hop staff were awesome. Very friendly and super helpful. The lobby and pool areas are super nice and modern. The rooms are well decorated. However, when i got to my room, the carpet in the hallway was extremely dirty, food, paper etc and it was not vacuumed until the following evening. My room had cigarette butts left on the terrace and there was one in the room by the bed. There was hair in the sink. The biggest thing was the floors were filthy. My feet turned black (no carpet but wood vinyl of some sort) when I walked on them and when I called housekeeping to get slippers they said the hotel had none. Hotel is overcrowded and there is no room on the beach. The chairs are touching. I did not feel relaxed or like i was at a resort. We had to beg for our room to be cleaned. The hotel staff is very rude. We booked at the wrong location and had to rebook at the surfside location and they did not refund us the deposit. The lobby was filled with trash and the downstairs lobby bathroom was gross. The location was nice and room was big but i will not ever stay here again! Listen to the reviews people!

Extremely disappointing experience with the valet service. Throughout our stay, the valet was consistently slow. On one occasion, we waited over 40 minutes just to park the car. That alone is already unacceptable for a hotel in this category. The situation escalated further when the staff was unable to locate our vehicle. Yes — they could not find the car. What started as poor service turned into a serious concern about responsibility and organization. Valet is not optional here; it is part of the paid experience. Guests should not have to waste excessive time or feel uncertainty about the safety and whereabouts of their own vehicle. The hotel itself has potential, but operationally the valet service needs urgent improvement. This level of inefficiency does not align with the standards

I would give this hotel zero Stars if I could. The hype is not real. Quality of hotel maybe 10 years ago was a four-star hotel today I would give it a two plus. The beds although being comfortable. Our king king double rooms was pretty outdated. On the so-called sitting area was just a large pullout bed that doesn't even stay upright. Most refrigerators don't work. Service is I would say okay at sometimes, and in existent at others. After spending $6,800 for five nights here, I wouldn't come back here even if they would offer the room for free. The majority of the guests are stuck up, to the point of I don't know what. It's sad to see a place set such high expectations, but deliver zero.
