Grand Beach Hotel

The only luxury is the location. Our oceanfront room had a nice little balcony with a beautiful view. The beach was clean and had lots of chairs available. The staff were generally nice and we were able to check in early and check out late, although the cleaning staff still tried to come in before our modified check out time. The room was spacious, and was probably nice in its prime, but the finishes are all worn down (floors buckling from humidity, casework chipping and peeling). The biggest issue was that the air conditioning stopped working in the middle of the night. Smaller issues include no iron or ironing board, so we had to steam our clothes with the kettle or wait over an hour for an iron to be delivered, like we saw another guest deal with. I stayed at the Grand Beach Hotel as I was attending a meeting. I arrived late on a Friday night. The restaurant was closing in about 15 minutes but I was able to place an order to take to my room. ||My had a little view of the beach. The bed was comfortable. Even though I was alone, it was a very nice room with 2 baths. The staff was very attentive for our meeting. The food service was very good for breakfast, lunch and snacks. I would definitely return.

I’ve been stolen money from my bag by the time I was sleeping , my opinion is that one of staff which saw I had money he did it . This hotel has so much potential, but doesn’t live up to it. There are pros and cons, so I think a 3.5 rating is fair. Pros: Great views and amenities. Location is decent - easy access to South Beach via free trolley or public bus ($2.25 per person). Service was decent - front desk staff was friendly and when I had an issue with my bathroom, they sent someone asap to fix the issue. All fees and extras are clearly stated on the website and communicated upon check in, so there were no surprises with the final bill. Also, did not have any cleanliness issues like a lot of reviews on here - room was clean upon check in and was cleaned before our return in the evening. Always a pleasant experience while staying and working with the staff at Grand Beach Miami. Everyone is very friendly and the location and rooms are always spotless. I've hosted meetings here now 3 times and will definitely book in the future. The service is speedy and staff are very accommodating to the needs of the group. Highly recommend booking this location.
