Golden Nugget Lake Tahoe Hotel & Casino

We went to the sports bar and the bartender was very nice the burgers were excellent. The machines were very tight and when I left a machine after losing to go to another the cocktail waitress said she would not give me a beer since I wasn't playing. I was not happy about that esp. after dropping 300 dollars then I had to pay for parking even though I have had a players card for over ten years. Just hang at the sports bar when you go.

Positive: the room was great because it was in the only remodeled area of the hotel. Negative: When we booked we were not informed everything under construction. Pool was closed the whole time we were there. No wi-fi at night. we reported this & no one had an answer, staff was not helpful at all. Only the cleaning people had smiles.

Had a terrible experience here. Even after spending a good amount of money here, having a room on the top floor still wasn't enough to keep them from discriminating me in the casino. Instantly after getting a players card and membership with this joke of a casino, we get asked our identification. I was getting stared down all night by some small lady name Lourdes I felt very unwelcome in there. They have what looks like children of staff in there the young looking boy Aiden couldn't ask for our identification so he got a different lady with tattoos and glasses her name also started with A. She almost broke my drivers license bending it, flashing her black light on it. Then said we were good. After just getting it verified at the front desk. Their staff is just all over the place. Beware of the check in cut off time. They will cancel your reservation without notice if you missed the cut off time. And the funny part is, they won't mention this on your reservation. The rooms are old, things are falling apart, and they won't warn you about the AC in advance. They don't work. Save your money and book elsewhere. It is the most uncomfortable stay in a hotel I've ever experienced. And the staff are no help to the situation.

Location is great right on 50. Lots of parking for guests. Rooms have enough space for 4 adults to be comfortable and not crowded. Bathroom is big, 2 sinks, lots of counter space with open shelving below and on 1 wall, and there's an articulated makeup mirror on the other wall which is handy. Service personnel are friendly, pleasant and helpful in all things. Nice covered area at entrance for loading and unloading, plenty of luggage carts.
