Glendive Campground

Stopped here unexpectedly because we needed to have electricity to recharge batteries that had failed due to a fuse issue we didn't know about. This is a small, very unkept campground with absolutely no amenities! Thankfully the electric worked but the water tasted AWFUL! The grass was not cut and there was a junk yard/heap right in the midst of the campsites. Also, the bathhouse was inoperable, so no showers available. They asked when we checked in if we were self-contained bc bathrooms were not working but they did not specify that that included showers, yet we were still charged full price ($25)...definitely NOT worth that!! :(. We were very pleased to find this campground after looking at 2 others in the area which were very unacceptable. We decided we'd have to stay at the hotel for the night, and then right behind the hotel was this pleasant little campground! It's kind of hidden, but worth seeking out. The bathroom is clean and well-lit, and it has wonderful showers. The sites have trees and the hookups are good. Recommended. Note: for the time being, the registration office is just inside the hotel. Call the phone number on the sign at the entrance to the campground and the owner will be in the office to meet you. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 is because there are not activities or other extras there - just a good campground!

You get what you pay for.....had called made reservations, arrived and no one on site to tell us where to check-in. I called to inquire and was told to go to the hotel. I noted there was no number and no directions to go to the hotel. I was told when I made the reservations that my kids could swim in doors if they were not busy. However, upon checking in I was told absolutely not that it was for hotel guests only. (Tell that to my kids standing there.) The shower house, at eight in the morning, had 1/4 roll of toilet paper and no paper to dry hands. As for spaces, they are large and quite easy to park. For the money, it was okay but they should have a sign up of where to go before you get your camper pulled into the park and then have to walk to the hotel. They should have someone

We looked back in our 2011 Good Sam CG book to find where we stayed in 2011. Called the number and low and behold it worked. The CG is now managed by Astoria Hotel, but in same location. It is smaller, but improved. It has all the hook ups except cable and has been improved...very level sites with lots of room between sites. NOT very well advertised so only a few campers. VERY nice, quiet, comfortable and walking distance to great supper club food and drinks.

Absolutely the worst campground we have ever stayed in. Weeds and broken branches were everywhere so it looked like no one ever did any maintenance . The woman at the desk when we checked in was very rude just as she had been on the phone when I made the reservation. The only good thing that I can say about the place was the bathroom was clean. Steer clear of this campground.
