Geneva Hotel

My husband booked this hotel because it was cheap and near the port. You have to walk into a separate building next door (it's sketchy) to check in. Then you go over to the other building and have to walk up stairs with your luggage (no bag things or elevators). We weren't able to lock the door to our room, as it was broken. We didn't look at reviews and we regret it. Doors slammed all night long. Parking in front of this place is $50 (park at the garage it was WAY cheaper and just a short walk.) The hotel needs some serious upgrades. It says queen sized bed, it was a small full bed and it was loud. We could hear people uh using the loud beds. The wood floors make this place ECHO! The walls were paper thin, and the lady of the night in the room next to mine had a VERY busy day. The bed in the room next to mine was constantly banging against the wall, and let's just say that woman wad very loud. Even the arguing next door could be heard clearly. Staff was friendly and attentive though. But the rooms and the hotel overall felt like it would fall apart at any minute.

I travel all across the the world trying out weird and wonderful places and decided to visit here because of its 1* rating here on trip advisor. |I have got to say, I am shocked and quite disappointed at the other reviewers as my stay was excellent!|The staff were helpful and friendly. |The room was clean and tidy; bathroom was clean and bed was clean most importantly!|You get a safe, spare blankets and an iron! For a 1* hotel that is super rare. |ITS SUPER CHEAP! I paid $180 including tax for one night, my previous two hotels in the area cost me just shy of $700 each and were comparable in comfort to this I have to say. |All in all a great stay and I would recommend people to visit and give it a chance, ignore previous reviews. |People are definitely expecting $800 treatment at a $200 hot

They don't clean the rooms; you have to beg them to do it. We needed toilet paper and they never brought it. Under the beds is very dirty, and there's nowhere to leave your luggage before check-in.
