The last 4 miles of road to the trail head are ROUGH. 8" of clearance will do. Encroaching vegetation will scratch paint. 2 places where water stands creating mud pits on the road. As others have said, not quite a jeep trail. But the hiking trails are nice. Worth it.
The road to get here is not quite a Jeep trail but it’s close. 4wd is advised, and if you’ve got a larger vehicle expect to lose a little paint. Great location, but with multiple trailheads from here it can be a little busy for being so remote. This is open, rustic, unimproved camping. About half of the picnic table are rotted or broken. No outhouses or restrooms.
Uphill in the beginning. Super hot. Not much shade.
