Fran-Cove Motel

Definitely a you get what you pay for kind of place. I can't argue about the price I paid but I would expect the rooms to be a little cleaner. Was a little musty smelling and the shower curtain was very dirty on the inside. Office was not available until 9am which was odd. Not sure why they say it's a great view of Lake George because you can not see the lake feom the motel. Bed was comfortable. Wouldn't come back unless I knew that things had been updated.

Bathroom was a disaster. Holes in the wall. No towel rack. The toilet paper roll broken. No place to hang close, no closet. No towels or coffee replacement on the 2nd day. Lots of people smoking pot outside our door. Nice location. Pool looked okay. Sheets were clean.

The room looked like it was from the 1800s. Very cheap on amenities giving only 1 soap bottle not enough for one person. Parking is okay and the location isn't too far from main attractions. There are places that look like have dust for a while and overall a moldy smell in the room amongst first entrance. The air conditioning alone would be the only reason one would be able to survive the night in this room. There are only 2 housekeepers and 1 manager there at times. Showering is an Overall challenge due to the fact you have to figure out how to use it since the entire room has very old material, so trying to balance a warm shower took some time. Room was completely updated since our last stay. Very clean and comfortable and Ali was more then accommodating. Nice location close to Village with trolley that saves you from finding and paying for parking|I will definately stay when I am in Lake George again.
