Foxfire Mountain House

We got married at Foxfire Mountain House last May and it was truly a dream come true. Foxfire is such a unique, quirky, and special venue, and from the very beginning the team helped bring our vision to life in a way that felt personal, thoughtful, and completely us. One of the most special parts of the experience was having our wedding party stay on the property with us. Being able to spend the entire weekend together made the celebration feel so much more meaningful and fun, and it created memories we will cherish forever. The restaurant is terrific! We were staying at the Emerson Spa and Resort (right across the road, basically) and had heard great things about Foxfire's restaurant the last time we were up there. We loved the decor, the service, and the meal. Everything was delicious, and compared with the NYC restaurants we visit, we found the prices very reasonable for the quality of the food.

My now-wife and I got married here in early September and it was an absolute dream come true. The venue is so beautiful - a dreamy, Catskills woodland retreat with a cozy inn where every corner is thoughtfully designed. The staff were all wonderful as well, especially Nisrine and the planning team. My wife and I are both vegan, and they were able to not only accommodate us but curate a fully vegan menu for the entire weekend, and it was absolutely delicious. So many of our guests commented on how good the food was! Would definitely recommend going with Foxfire as your venue!!

Suchhhh a lovely lovely lovely place. So cozy. Honestly, it just seemed like the kind of place that someone would get engaged in a fairytale. Huge fireplace. Gorgeous decor that the owners built and designed themselves. The room was so lovely. Nice and clean and cozy. The restaurant is amazing. The olives were honestly a highlight (so unique, smoky, strong flavour). The steak is to die for. The cheesecake is phenomenal and suprisingly vegan. My only complaint is that the bedroom was super warm at night lol.

Had a fantastic time staying at Foxfire Mountain House. My husband and I stayed in Cabin #2 and it had everything we needed. We also took part in one of the "In the Wild" dinners and it was a wonderful time with an informative wine tasting, INCREDIBLE meal and we had the pleasure of meeting some interesting people we hope to keep in touch with!! For the rest of the weekend, we leisurely enjoyed our time sitting outside of the cabin, exploring nearby trails, and drove a quick 20 min over to Woodstock for some shopping and dinner at SILVIA, which was also incredible. Overall, we just had a very peaceful & restorative stay in the Catskills and we highly recommend a sojourn (and dining!!) at Foxfire!!
