Customer Reviews
Nice hotel. Lobby is a little cold in terms of indulgent welcome but practical in terms of business location. Breakfast was ok but nothing special. Service was a little impersonal from time to time. Rooms are great and large for NYC. Great location. I have been lucky enough to stay in four seasons around the world and expect a level of elevated service accordingly. Overall the team did address any oversight and were incredibly helpful and attentive. I would say it’s one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in NyC and would return.
We checked out at 9:30am and only one staff was at the front desk to check someone in. We waited for 10 mins before anyone could help us even after I told a bellman that we were in a hurry and would need to check out asap. He went to find a front desk staff and came back said they were in a meeting. We finally just dropped our key and rushed to the airport without being able to talk to anyone and to know what to expect with the bill.We were kind of expecting a bit better service than this.
Just returned home. Our stay at the Four Seasons overall was 5 stars. Very accommodating in checking us in earlier than 3pm. And granting our request for late checkout as our transportation plans were delayed. We love the new tech way of communicating. Advance text message a few days prior to check in. And the ongoing communication on text platform assures effective communication without stress. Also use of the tablet in the room is an additional bonus for communicating. Hopefully, Four Seasons will consider the perks the company use to offer for the “cost” per room. The house car in my opinion is truly the luxury feel or the cherry on top that sets a luxury hotel apart compared to others . Not sure if FS can pitch a tier plan to offer to their guests . Room service is extremel
While the hotel is located a bit away from the main Midtown bustle, we found the location ideal as there is so much to explore in the immediate area. The view from our room was also incredibly pleasant, offering a great perspective of the city. We were able to visit the World Trade Center and its incredibly moving and informative museum, as well as Mercer Labs. We also took a trip to the Statue of Liberty via Battery Park, which is just a short distance away, and of course, walked through Wall Street to see the Charging Bull. For shopping and dining, the neighborhood has some great spots. We particularly enjoyed Eataly, where you can buy authentic Italian products or enjoy a delicious lunch on-site. The hotel amenities are top-notch. The indoor pool is impressive, and having steam room
Effortless Hospitality During the Holiday Rush Hospitality can be demanding at the best of times, but during the holidays, it is especially challenging. Despite the seasonal rush, the entire staff at the Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown made excellence look effortless. From the moment we arrived, we were met with a warm, inviting atmosphere and a genuine eagerness to please. Personalized service from start to finish! The experience began with Duran, the lead doorman, who handled our car and luggage with ease, whisking us inside to a delightful check-in. The reception team was incredibly personable—even noticing and complimenting my husband’s obscure basketball team cap—and surprised us with a complimentary upgrade from a Liberty Suite to an Oculus Suite.
