Fountain Hall

This is a lovely house in the historic district of Culpeper. Antique furnishings add to the charm. Stayed in the Butlers suite on the first floor which included a comfortable bed, air conditioning, and a large attached full bath. Enjoyed everything about the weekend stay.

Our first time staying here, and it likely will not be our last. The proprietors were friendly, and left great directions for self check-in. We enjoyed a comfortable room on the second floor that was very clean and enjoyable. We liked being within walking distance of great shops and dining in town. There is some road noise from town traffic and a faint rumble of a passing train, but nothing that kept us from a good night's sleep. Overall, this was the perfect place to stay for our weekend in Culpepper for the air show!

The cleanest and best-maintained B&B I've ever stayed at. Very comfortable beds and common areas, all modern conveniences such as extra outlets to charge phones, bottled waters and in-room Keurig. We stayed mid-week, so it was a BYO breakfast. No problem, as there are coffee shops within walking distance. Excellent value.

Fountain Hall is a jewel and Steve and Kathi are wonderful hosts. What a beautiful place right in the heart of the historic district. We will go back again. It is a throwback to history yet has modern conveniences and is very clean. We were able to walk to restaurants and visited the National Veterans Cemetery.

My husband and I just returned from a lovely weekend in Culpepper where we were fortunate to be able to stay at Fountain Hall. The proprietors, Kathi and Steve, went above and beyond themselves to make our time there both memorable and enjoyable. The house itself is comfortable, well-appointed (we lacked for nothing!), and convenient to downtown Culpepper. (Note that they don't serve breakfast, but the inn has a well-appointed dining room with plates, saucers, coffee, etc.) We didn’t have a car and didn’t need one. Kathi even volunteered to pick us up at the Amtrak station, which is a mere six blocks from the inn, and Steve drove us back there at the end of our visit. I cannot say enough good things about either the house or its owners.
