Fossil Rim Safari Campground

Cabins can sleep 2-3 persons. If you have 4 or more, multiple cabins necessary. Shady, with good views of the prairie or water hole. Animals crowd there at dusk and before dawn. Lots of activity. Great sunset, goodly number of stars. Great stay for grandkids or kids. Taking "behind the scenes tour is a great addition. Purchase of campground visits gives you free admission to park. Breakfast included. May look pricey, but with all you get, it is a bargain. Plus it helps the animals and humans learn alot.

The hotel was beautiful, well appointed, clean and spacious. We stayed in the hummingbird room and it was perfect. The open deck was nice to watch animals run past in the evening. We all loved our stay

We didn't actually stay here, but this is where the lodge guests go for breakfast. It is an adorable little camping area with cabins and one large space for gathering for meals. There is a watering hole that the porch and buildings overlook, so you can enjoy the wildlife and scenery.

Great place to stay if you do not mind sleeping in two cot style beds. Also has a fold out cot, but if you use that there is no room to get up and go to the bathroom in the night without tripping over the person in the middle. Also only a shower so if that is an issue for you this is not for you.

We stayed in the huts in the middle of the park by the watering hole. We have 3 kids and have stayed there twice. It's nice to get up early and drink complementary coffee at the clubhouse. It has chairs and tables inside and out with a covered porch where you can watch they heards of animals come to drink before they make their way to the drive through portion of the park to be hand fed by anyone who drives through. (They provide the animal pellets for a small fee) This is a truly unique park with a large variety of animals and a gift shop. This place can be a little pricey, but it is definitely worth the money. Plus there is an added bonus that a large portion of the money spent is for the maintenance and care of the animals. They also are part of a cheetah mating program. You can
