This is our first year staying at FDO and I can see why people keep coming back year after year. We are pickle ball players and they have 11 courts and activities for every level of play. The 9 hole golf course is fun to play and very reasonably priced. There are so many different activities to do, the pool areas are fantastic. We joined the hiking club and every Monday they take us to an amazing place with great views and some history of the area.
Very loud music at the pool every day except the weekends? couldn't have a conversation. The lower pool was pretty far away with a small hot tub that was a bit grimey and the jets weren'tworking. ..Laundry small. Wifi not great. Lots are very small. Staff didn't know about bus tours or other outings to do? Found a tourist bureau downtown to get help, they were great. Superbowl party was a total flop, t.v. quit working before halftime. The whole packed room was empty a minute after half time. Heard many complains except for pickleball...that appeared to be the best thing going for this place....also the golfers seem to be alright. Not worth the money in our opinion. I will give credit to the lady cleaner, day shift in the pool area, a hard worker.
Yuma is a really interesting place for RV parks. There are many, and most of them vary in size from large to huge. Fortuna del Oro is probably one of the largest. The gated park has several amenities, including pool(s) hot tubs, golf, nightly music, a restaurant, pickleball courts, bocce ball, tennis, and shuffleboard. The facility is clean, up to date, and well kept. They have a large population of seasonal dwellers that visit Yuma to avoid their home state weather in the winter. All that said, I did not find them particularly good for a short four day stay. I had called and left a message, and tried their website to make a reservation before arriving, but never heard back so decided just to arrive and see what we could get. They do have pull throughs, but the spaces are short and
The 3 stars are for the horrible practice of not taking united states currency. The "credit card" scam of tracking purchases is disgusting. United States currency is this countries currency it should be respected. Inducing citizens to use a credit contract with another entity is illegal but most have no clue.
Top of the line RV park in the foothills area. Offering many activities, welcoming staff. Ideal for a night passing through or for the winter visitor looking for a place to call home. There is something for everyone.
