Fort Pierce Hotel

I am writing this review to strongly caution anyone considering this hotel. This was my second stay here, and both times were completely unacceptable. The most fundamental promise of any hotel—a clean room—is utterly failed here. This was my second stay, and both times, basic housekeeping was neglected. On the first visit, they only swapped the towels but left the previous guest's sheets on the bed. This time, the neglect was worse: I followed instructions and placed my used towels on the floor, only to return and find that not a single one had been replaced. The bed was unmade, forcing me to sleep in the same sheets from the previous night. The room was otherwise completely untouched, solidifying a pattern of unacceptable service. The room was nice and the location with multiple restaurants and gas stations nearby is great. The 2 issues I had were the door to the room wasn't properly sealed with cracks around the door frame. Also check-in time is 3 pm. If you arrive earlier than that they will make you leave the property, even if you don't have anywhere to go or any transportation. My truck was in the shop and my company sent me here. I spent 3 hours outside on the sidewalk because I wasn't allowed to sit in their lobby while waiting to be able to check into the room.

Wow What A Difference We always stay at Days Inn Mankato visiting family and we find the hotel clean and the staff friendly. This time we were so surprised when we opened our room door and everything was new, furniture, flooring amenties. We were so comfortable we did not want to leave. And the large screen TV was great. The friendly staff and Manager always make us feel like home, but these new renovations were better than home. Come and check it out, you will not be disappointed.

This is a pet friendly hotel but the minute I walked into the lobby I did not feel it was pet friendly. I was told to take my small dog outside as the manager was allergic to dogs. There are no elevators and access to rooms are outside. We were on the second floor and as we came prepared for a few days because of the impending hurricane, we had several bags to carry up the flight of stairs. Add to this, we are both 85. From the moment I took my shoes off, I could feel the grit/dirt on my feet. The floors were dirty as was the floor in the bath. Refrigerator did not work and was smelly.
