Road Runner Travel Resort

We first stayed in the campground at this resort several years ago, and we just keep coming back. The resort is perfectly located to experience South Florida without traveling all the way to Miami. It is also well-positioned for an overnight stop on the way to Key West. Unfortunately, our most recent stay at this resort was cut short by a major failure of the refrigerator in our motorhome about halfway through our visit. We cannot say enough about how accommodating the staff was in response to our need for an early departure. Rest assured, we will be back again.

This is a place for seasonal folks. Weekly/daily campers are NOT invited to participate in activities! The posted activities are NOT factual! Many items left off! Office workers are not educated in activities or other happenings in the park! Was not offered a gate card for late nights and was told I would have to pay extra to check in 30 minutes early! Could NOT stream due to blockage by host internet! Brought to office attention, but nothing was done! Restaurant was terrific! I have been a full time RVer for over 10 years and this by far is the worst park I have experienced!

This is a wonderful campground with roomy sites and real trees. Not a parking lot for campers. They also have cabins to rent. I had some friends coming in from Northern Florida and needed a site for a couple days to visit. It was in January during season yet they were able to get a site and we were able to get a site right next to them on their buddies sites. Nice clean paver sites with full hookup. Oh and did I mention they take Passport America which gave us 50% off for two nights.

We enjoy staying with Road Runner on our trips to and from The Keys. They have one bedroom cabins that are clean and neat and convenient to the pool and restaurant. The staff is friendly and accomodating. The grounds are gated, so we feel secure in our stays.

My Aunt Carla (rest in peace) & her Husband Lorne were the owners of this park in the 70's & I LOVE & Appreciate the current owners for Keeping it going after all these years. Its a Very Important landmark for my own personal life & I know My Aunt Would Love to know that the place is still in business. Thank You RoadRunner owners.🤲🏽🤲🏽 You are Honored from afar!!!
