Fort Amarillo RV Park

We had a great stay at Fort Amarillo RV Resort! Check-in was smooth and welcoming, and the staff truly stood out—they were friendly, helpful, and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. A huge bonus is the on-site store, Lizzie Mayes, which is absolutely adorable and definitely worth taking the time to walk through. It’s charming, well-curated, and adds such a fun touch to the resort. The RV sites are a bit tight, but they are very clean, well-maintained, and accommodating, which made our stay comfortable. Another big plus is the location—there are plenty of things to do nearby, making it easy to explore and enjoy the area without having to go far. Overall, Fort Amarillo RV Resort is a clean, friendly, and convenient place to stay, and we would happily return!

I feel like this park is going downhill. Each time we go there are more and more permanent trailers there that do not keep their spaces clean. Also did not appreciate that I picked a specific site for specific reasons when I booked and yet they put me in a different site that was not very nice. The best part of this park is the dog park. Staff is friendly.

We stayed here for two months, and our experience was absolutely wonderful. From the very first day, the staff at the front desk were incredibly kind and helpful — every single time we needed something, they treated us with great attention and respect. They received countless packages for us with no problem at all, and always with a smile. The bathrooms were always spotless — very clean, well maintained, and everything worked perfectly throughout our entire stay. The park itself is peaceful and quiet, especially at night, which made it the perfect place to rest and feel at home. Great place to stop overnight or longer. Sites were sized perfectly. Room enough for 2-3 cars. Exit has a big dip. Looked sketchy to me. Used entrance as an exit.
