Foot of the Mountain Motel

I’ve stayed at the Foot of the Mountain Motel twice now, and both visits were genuinely delightful. The rooms have a rustic, cabin-like feel that’s incredibly cozy. My room did not feel dated or run down—everything is clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained. The location is truly unmatched. Sitting right at the base of the foothills near the mouth of Boulder Canyon, you’re surrounded by parks and trails in every direction. It’s hard to imagine a better spot if you love nature and easy access to the outdoors. The steam room and cold plunge amenities are top-notch and clearly well cared for. I LOVE this place. We booked last minute Monday night and were greeted with amazing staff who were very helpful. They were super dog friendly and invited our pup with open arms. The process was fast and easy. The room was just magnificent; Super cozy and very clean. The shower pressure was A1, along with the heating element for the room. We loved it so much the first night, we booked it last minute the next day. I would HIGHLY recommend this motel and we will be back very soon :)

Highly recommend. This a a great place to stay if you prefer cozy, authentic stays over "luxury", cookie-cutter hotel chains with no personality. I stayed in one of the kitchenette rooms, and everything felt welcoming, rustic, and real. (Just a heads up that the shower ceiling is a little low, so you will have to duck if you are tall like I am!) This place has been around since 1934, and you can see the character and history in the buildings and in the warm service that you receive from the staff. I was personally assisted by Goni and Tiffany and a few other members of staff. I stayed during the winter, and the hot tub on the shared porch was amazing to use on a cold night. I recently spent two weeks and had a great stay. The accommodation is very pup-friendly, which was a huge plus for us as I traveled with my dog. The beds were nicely clean and comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. A continental breakfast is included that was a welcome start to the day. Goni and the staff were super friendly and provided lots of recommendations for the local area. Additionally, the location is perfect for walking enthusiasts, with nearby parks and trails offering plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities. Overall, I highly recommend Foot of the Mountain and will definitely stay here again in the future.
