Fargo Airport Hotel

I had a similar deceptive charge experience as Crystal Anderson (posted 2 months ago): Booked the hotel on Priceline for a great rate, but was then charged the Priceline rate I'd received (with no tax) by the Hotel. Using American Express, the Priceline charge was listed as a vendor in Newark, then the additional charge from the hotel listed 'Super 8 Fargo'. I called the hotel and they said they would give me the money back...which they almost did in total ($4.44 short of full pay back). It did feel intentional (scammy) for them to have charged twice, likely expecting we wouldn't notice. This was unfortunate because the hotel experience had been pretty good. The breakfast bar is nothing to write home about: English muffins, machine-coffee, and the cereal dispensers were both empty.

Place looked nice enough when you walked in but that's where it stopped. Service was horrible waited 30 mins for the front desk guy who had obviously been sleeping in a room somewhere. Rooms were horrible broken stuff stains on mattress. Now here comes the worst part I was at work and they called the police and had my dog removed from the room because they didnt like it. No one was complaining they claimed to have called me numerous times which they never did. DO NOT STAY AT THIS PLACE EVER YOUR CAR OR A TENT DOWN BY THE RIVER IS A BETTER OPTION

Nastiest hotel I’ve been too, I didn’t even end up staying. Lock and faucet didn’t work in my room and it was filthy so I switched rooms. It was just as dirty and smelled like urine and must. I don’t typically write reviews, but I feel that this time it was more than warranted. I’ve stayed here for work on three separate occasions. All those times being for roughly 10 days. On my last stay, and most recent, there was a gentleman working the front desk named Sam. When I checked in for my most recent stay, he’d remembered me from the year prior! On my previous stay, when I’d arrived the AC wasn’t working correctly in my room. Sam quickly found me a new room and made sure everything was working as it should. This time when I checked in, Sam had prepared the room and turned on the A/C for me prior to my arrival. Coincidence or not, this is 5 star service! I had booked my room though Priceline, the room was a great value, the pictures didn’t match what the motel actually looked like. My room looked recently renovated and they were still working on renovations though out the motel. There’s a pool in the motel although it is closed. When you walk into the lobby it would appear they serve continental breakfast, but don’t get your hopes up because if you walk down there in the morning there will be nothing out haha! My room was on the dirty side, I came in and immediately wiped everything down. It needed to be vacuumed especially in the corners and the actual tub & sink scrubbed.
