Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Wisconsin Dells

First time staying at a Fairfield inn and I would stay again. My room was clean, updated, and comfortable. Mine had a nice walk-in shower with big shampoo bottles on the wall. Breakfast was pretty good, nice selection and clean. There was a hot egg/meat selection and the regular continental options. I wish they had some cut fruit, though. They just had whole apples. The staff are friendly, if not a little too friendly. Front desk manager at check-in kept asking me a bunch of personal questions that creeped me out, because he was so shocked I am woman who happened to be traveling alone (??), but other than that, I enjoyed my stay. Never did I think bed bugs were possible, but this location made me a believer. Laid down, and within 3 hours woke up to itching in a few places. After immediate inspection, noticed several bed bugs right away (see photos). In this short span of time, I counted at least 20 bites (I'll spare you the pictures) on my forehead, both forearms, top of my right calf and in two spots on my shoulders. Hardly the restful night sleep I was looking for let alone the amount of paranoia and scratching in the upcoming days. Plus the suitcase and handful of clothes I had to throw away. Positive: Breakfast but they ran out of creamer. We had to ask for clean towels no trash bags. Know one could answer questions no one knew why when you ask questions. Negative: Things up above will not stay somewhere i had to get towels every day from desk tissue from the desk. Didn't remove trash Didn't even clean rooms We were there for 4days no way.

Prior to arrival, I called the 1(800) number to verify that my family’s emotional support animal was allowed to stay in the hotel. I was told that he could. Upon check-in on Saturday, I asked again if it was allowed, I was told that it was fine. That there was no fee to be charged. At check out, I checked out without anything so much as an incident or accident in this hotel. Four whole days later, they unauthorized a charge of $200 to my card without my written or verbal consent. When I called to address the charge, I was met with multiple excuses on why this charge was accessed. The manager went so far as to be nasty with me and stated that this animal was not an emotional support animal. I will NEVER stay in their hotels again!!! Right in the heart of Wisconsin Dells. The rooms are clean and modern. The staff was friendly and checked us in quickly. Recommend that you sign up for Mariott Bonvoy. It is free and you save money.
