Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Tacoma Puyallup

We recently had a stay here for the Washington Sportsman Show. Hotel location is just minutes from the fairgrounds. When we checked in, found they upgraded us to a suite! The front desk help was top notch. She was very friendly and welcoming and very helpful. This was Tuesday, Jan 27, about 3:30 pm, so Manager, look up the gal who was manning the desk and give her a raise! The room was in great condition and the cleanest hotel room I've stayed at in awhile. It was quiet. The continental breakfast was very good with a nice selection of hot/cold items. I can't recommend this hotel enough, will definitely be back!

The hotel itself is what I’d consider an average hotel stay - it could use some maintenance on the a/c for noise. The showers need work on the mechanism to go from bath to shower.. but there’s one thing that made this stay amazing..||The staff. Everyone from the guy restocking breakfast refrigerators (who gave me milk and cereal and full setup to take to my family) to the cleaning crew, who were exceedingly courteous (saw me coming, called the elevator without me asking, among other awesome interactions) to the front desk staff. It was the friendliest crew that ran the hotel that I’ve encountered in a long time, even at far more expensive hotels. Seriously - they all deserve praise and a raise.

Positive: I loved everything about this hotel. It was clean, friendly and helpful staff, walking distance to fairgrounds, great breakfast and amenities Negative: Pool was closed, but I assume that is seasonal

This hotel is like actual rainbows and unicorns! You'll have to look for the unicorn, though. I was shocked to see how nice the hotel was when I arrived. The front desk person, Ramon I think, was great and helped get me set up. There was a room person who was also very helpful and offered clean linens even though I had only stayed a night. So far it has been an amazing experience. It's quiet, for the most part, nestled in the trees which helps block the noise.

Convenient location for our needs but freeway and ambulance noise can be a problem as the hotel sits near the freeway and a couple blocks from a hospital. Breakfast staff very friendly and kept the area clean. Room was clean and simple (expected since it’s a Fairfield). Marriott status was not acknowledged and no benefits provided.
