Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Sioux Falls

If you get to breakfast at 8:58am hoping to just grab a yogurt out of the fridge, expect absolutely no mercy from the breakfast lady even if you're 6 months pregnant 😭 fridge was locked like a safe, like they couldn't spare a $1 yogurt for a gold+ member because it was 2 minutes to 9, or maybe their clocks are fast.... But not even a courteous "so sorry we are closed" just ignored me trying to open the fridge like I was invisible 🫥 tried to grab some corn flakes but again no milk, felt like a thief trying to get a little food and she was exuding annoyance at us and snatching food out from under us awkwardly without saying anything so fast you would think she was trying to be somewhere by 9:01. Have not had this issue at other Marriotts, where they start winding down breakfast AT the close

We were warmly greeted on our arrival by by a young lady named OMI. When she learned of my Elite Bonvoy status we were all given a complementary bottle of water. Our rooms were clean and odor free. Before settling down for the night, one of our young grandsons had an issue which ultimately meant they had to change rooms. OMI was great, first supplying clean bedding, but when there were no clean mattress pads, she started a load in the laundry. Realizing that we needed to get the kids to bed quicker OMI offered to move them to an empty room. OMI deserves a 150% for her effort.

Overall it was great. Customer service at the front desk was exceptional, well done! The breakfast staff was also phenomenal, and they had a good selection of items to choose from. The lobby area was clean, and our room was as well. The pullout bed was not comfortable but the king was great. The room smelled a little musty at first but seemed better after running the air for a while. I recommend this hotel to others staying in the Sioux Falls area.

I was very happy with my stay! The first thing I noticed was how clean the room was, the staff was welcoming and beds were comfortable. I would definitely book again.
