Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Oxford

Brand new Fairfield Inn as of August 6, 2025. Modern and comfortable design with a welcoming front desk staff. The exercise room is spacious with various cardio equipment, dumbells, exercise balls, kettlebells, foam rollers. The breakfast area has a couple of booths, several table and a community table with a large TV. Breakfast had typical offerings including waffles, eggs, sausage, oatmeal a variety of breads, bagels, etc. The room was quiet with responsive HVAC controls and comfy bedding. There is plenty of parking and the the hotel is situated by large trees and adjacent to a residential area.

We were in town for a weekend swim meet at Miami of Ohio. Check-in was completely seamless and the front desk staff was beyond accommodating. Breakfast typically takes place from 7-10am, however once they learned that most of the swimmers had to be at the pool by 7am, they adjusted the time of breakfast to 6am for the entire weekend. This was a huge relief, and I am so very grateful for the kitchen staff that made this happen!! Thank you! We had an issue controlling the heating/cooling unit in our, and the front desk staff personally came to our room to override the system so that we could adjust the temperature to our liking. This is one of the best Fairfield by Marriott location out there. If not the absolute best of them. Helping and professional staff who genuinely care and genuinely wants to make your stay perfect. Combined with fantastic location and hotel who is absolutely state of the art when it comes to comfort of the room. This was one of the best surprises of our tour of that region and we will definitely book our stay next time in that location. The room are extremely comfortable, easy to get in and get out. A lovely addition to the Miami University area. All staff members were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is well appointed- our room was spacious with two flat screen TVs, a large desk for working, and a sofa. Even basic included wi-fi for Marriott Bonvoy members was fast. The bathroom is very large and well appointed with quality products (shampoo/conditioner/body wash) with an oversized shower head and plenty of HOT water. The room also has a full dresser and closet, and an iron and ironing board. I never write bad reviews, but this one deserves it. The Fairfield Inn & Suites in Oxford is brand new — and it shows, but not in the right ways. It’s like putting lipstick on a pig. The décor is lovely and everything looks fresh, but that’s where the positives end. At check-in, no one mentioned breakfast hours or that there’s no housekeeping unless you specifically request it. The pillows are either enormous or completely flat — no comfortable in-between. The bed is so uncomfortable your back will let you know the next morning. The HVAC system is a nightmare: there’s a wall thermostat and an AC unit, but neither one actually controls the temperature properly. You’ll end up sweating all night.
