Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites New York Manhattan/Fifth Avenue

I was worried before arrival because of the negative reviews, but my experience was very positive. The staff at check-in was extremely kind. Due to the blizzard and staff shortages, early check-in was difficult, but they did their best to accommodate me as quickly as possible. The room was clean and comfortable, with good water pressure. Although the hotel is older and the furniture feels a bit dated, it has its own New York charm. They also stored my luggage after late check-out, which made my last day very convenient. Thanks to the friendly staff, I had a pleasant stay. Don’t worry too much about the negative reviews!

I booked this hotel through the Marriott website and was a little worried, but upon arriving my fears went away. First the front desk staff was welcoming, friendly and professional throughout my stay. The welcome gift bag was a surprise. My guest room was spacious for New York standards, enough space for two people to move all round comfortably. Secondly, the location of the proporty was perfect; walking distance to Times Square, the threatre for our boardway show, dining and shopping. Also, close to several subway stations. The daily continent breakfast provided a variety of options, in which I didn't have to purchase breakfast outside the hotel. Positive: It was near to empire state building Negative: very small rooms and tiny bathroom. while booking I selected the double bed room, but when I went there they said it is not ready and gave me a single king bed room.

Been staying here for two days Rooms are in need of a renovation. Staff is not helpful at all Breakfast is decent- at most Location is great- superior floors give you some view on the empire state building- if you are lucky enough to have a front street facing room Lobby and breakfast area are small Due to a blizzard- our flight was delayed for a day- and we received a quote for EXTENDING our stay at more than 2times the price booking.com offers What kind of customer relations are you providing? Arrived for check-in. Was told room was not ready and had option to only take handicap room. We were stuck for time for a 5:00 show so we said fine and upon entering room blind curtain hanging broken, floor dirty not vacuumed. Beds about two feet off ground and no dresser for clothing, no luggage rack etc. We called Marriott downstairs and was directed to main line and told we would be moved and receive a 50% off room rate. We changed fast went back downstairs to get new room to throw our belongings in. Took almost 25 minutes before our show time, upon entering that room again floors not Baum ed at all no way and bathroom door broken wouldn’t shut. Rooms are old this Marriott definitely needs some major updating. Went downstairs told rush to get to show being now late. Upon checkout we ask
