Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Minneapolis Shakopee

At 3:30 in the morning are fire alarm started beeping for little battery. We called the front desk and when he was able to tell us that there was no maintenance on duty. (First flag) He came up with a ladder that would be in between our beds and didn't hear a beeping noise, so he left. (Second flag) We call the front desk around 30 minutes later as it continued to beep. He said that he was busy at the front desk and could not help us. My son had a basketball game.We woke up with the continuingly beeping exhausted. We decided to leave early. When I went to the front desk and told them that this was a risk to those that are customers, he was not able to do anything unless I was a points member in which he could have given me points towards the Marriott. The only positive I have is that the room was clean. We didn’t receive housekeeping even one time on a 4 night stay despite me asking and then telling me they would come tomorrow each time. Breakfast was the worst hotel breakfast I’ve had. Very small selection and what was there did not taste good.

Positive: "" Negative: Breakfast bar was completely u derstaffed and spent much time waiting for food. Mattress was slept out, had 2 distinct dents. Room and bath were clean"ish". Main surfaces ok, hair and debris in corners. 3 very small pillows.

We stayed here with our kids and overall had a really nice experience! The hotel was quiet, clean, and comfortable. The staff at the front desk were very kind and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was a nice bonus with a good variety of options. I just wish there was coffee creamer available after breakfast hours. The pool, while on the smaller side, was a good size for our family, but it was quite cold, so we didn’t stay in long. Our room was very clean and cozy, and I appreciated being able to request one with a tub. Unfortunately, the bath plug didn’t work, so I couldn’t give my kids a proper bath after swimming. Also, the room got pretty warm overnight, and the A/C or fan didn’t seem to turn on. Overall, though, it was a pleasant stay in a clean, quiet, family-friendly hotel. Ju

I would have given this hotel 5⭐️s but the mattress in room 208 by the window was so uncomfortable I didn’t get a good night sleep I kept waking up because of how well used this mattress was. I didn’t have communication with any staff so I can’t rate that. The breakfast was your normal hotel food. The hotel was very clean so 5⭐️there. I used the fitness center it was clean and had limited equipment but overall nice.
