Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Minneapolis/Shakopee

We wanted a warm pool to swim in while visiting, and this hotel was recommended as having the warmest pool in Shakopee. The lower reviews made me a bit hesitant, but I decided to book anyway, and I’m so glad I did. The staff here are incredibly kind and helpful. We didn’t see a high chair in the breakfast area, and they noticed right away and brought one out for my toddler. That kind of thoughtfulness really stood out. From check-in to check-out, everyone was genuinely friendly. The rooms were very nice, and I can’t wait to come back and see the rest of the renovations completed. The only thing I would change is having sturdier chairs in the pool area. The plastic ones always make me a little nervous. Great stay! The room was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff was friendly, helpful, and always smiling. The location is convenient, parking was easy, and check-in was smooth. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel.

Positive: I like the fact that they let us check in early because we had a wedding Negative: I did not like the strong smell of Fabuloso cleaner. The carpets need replacing they looked rough. Our room had a hole in the curtain and a wall that was patched, but nothing had been painted.

I’ve stayed here in the past, granted, it was like 8 years ago or more. But I always assumed this hotel was supposed to be one of the nicer ones in town, while still being able to consider price. I booked a single king room, had a ton to do the day of check in so ended up getting in at 11 PM, and walk in to a mostly clean room, but I’m a cleaner for my day job so I can tell this is just clean for show, not actual clean. The pillows are lumpy, the bathtub flows a steady stream no matter what. Was also really hoping for take away soaps in the shower but unfortunately they’re pinching Pennies here. The final straw, and ultimately the reason I’m giving 2 stars, is because when I woke up to use the restroom in the middle of the night, a COCKROACH comes strolling out from behind the toilet. A sm

When I had my first stay s month and a half ago I met Priyanka and she made me feel like I was a frequent guest. I have stayed there several times since. I travel frequently and I enjoy the personal touch when I’m on the road. The rooms are remodeled the food was good (breakfast) and the second time I went, she greeted me by my name. That’s impressive.
