Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Memphis Germantown

Positive: Nice clean room for the price. Friendly staff. Negative: My only complaint was regarding the included breakfast. Supposedly provided until 9:30, but they started putting it away at 9. I wish they would leave you in peace until the stated time before they start packing it away.

Air conditioning unit made a clicking/beeping sound every few minutes that made sleeping impossible. Room was HOT, it was 75 degrees outside in December and heat was still running. We tried fixing it to no avail. Finally went down to the front desk around midnight. They sent us to another room upstairs. Air conditioner was making the same beeping. We decided to just turn up white noise on our phones to try and drain it out. My husband did not sleep. Mattress was flimsy. You could feel every micro movement and it would shake. I woke up with back pain and neck pain (I’m 25…). Went to take a shower and saw that the ceiling was about to burst. There was a bubble filled up with water. Either a pipe burst or someone upstairs was flooding their tub. Could not use the shower. Shower was also stain

This has to be one of the worst hotel experiences I have had in a long time and I wrote the manager about it and received no response. Here were my issues: 1. Heat does not work at all - I tried turning the wall thermostat up and down, nothing 2. Also the thermostat BRIGHT blue light stayed on all night. I called to ask how to change and no one could help. It kept me up most of the night. 3. When you flush, the toilet makes a lot of noise well after using it, similarly kept me up a lot Frankly this was one of those situations where I was uncomfortable the entire stay but sadly had no good options as the only thing the front desk offered was to call maintenance which I was not going to do at 11:30 pm.

Whoever JAM is had a horrible attitude and stinks as well hygiene wise. Hotel is decent but aged for a Germantown hotel. Managers were good and alert and the rest of the crew as well. I just didn’t like how that Jam lady spoke to me when I had an issue that was on the hotel end. Do better with her please.

Dirty, smelly, elevator was horrible. Front desk ladies were wonderful. They are very expensive , maintenance tools a d bucket were left in front of the elevator.
