Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Mankato

We had been traveling in town to visit Mankato State College with my daughter and one of her friends and decided to book this hotel as we live quite a ways out of town. It is a nice place, staff were friendly, check in was easy, room was very clean, beds were comfortable, wifi was good, hot water was good had everything you need. Is in a good location close to many gas stations or restaurants. Parking was free. Really everything was good about this hotel other than was a little bit of road noise and the pool was having some kinda maintenance thing and wasn't open at the time we traveled thru. but was a nice option especially for the price point and location. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there if traveling thru again.

We literally had the worst day... Only this hotel and EVAN made our day/night and day again! The staff was so amazing and kind! The rooms were clean and pool was nice. Customer service was definitely top notch! Ice machine was out but was happy to fill it behind the counter for us. Next time we visit, which will be often to visit our child at MSU, this is where will stay! *don't stay next door-trust me

Matt was great 4 stars! THIS PLACE HAS BED BUGS!! When I called to speak to a manager I got Nate A who was rude, unconcerned and basically called me a liar!! No assistance no type of resolution just instantly defensive!! ‘There’s nothing I can do after the fact!’ I told him you do realize bed bugs bites are after the fact right. Then he refused to give me anyone over him other than the 800 number for Marriot. I cant add the video of the LOUD HEATER that woke me up out of my sleep. I wasn’t going to complain about the heater because the service was good (THANKS MATT) until I called back about the bed bugs.

Exceptional customer service! Matt was able to accommodate my request on the spot. Due to business I typically stay at another chain, but Matt made me reconsider. When I'm back to Mankato I will be back to Fairfield. Again, thanks Matt. Really appreciate your efforts.

I booked 2 rooms, 4 nights via trips.com and 1 night via a credit card portal. We normally book direct with the hotel but it the 3rd party sites offered lower costs.Neither third party booking site disclosed a $3 parking fee at the time of booking. Looking at the hotel website, I also do not see a parking fee disclosure. Mankato is a relatively small town, and the location is not busy enough to justify a parking fee; charging it as a surprise/undisclosed fees (resort, parking, etc) is a dishonest practice you should abandon if you want repeat business.We were generally happy with the housekeeping, beds and room features. Issues with the TV signal and room keys were resolved by the staff in a timely manner.I chose Fairfield based on past good experience with Mariott/Residence Inn/Fairfi
