Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Lubbock Southwest

The location is at the intersection along two busy streets in Lubbock. We were there on a Tuesday night, during the Christmas school break, and the street traffic was very noisy. Apparently, the street outside is used as a drag strip late at night. All Fairfield's have signs in the parking lot telling guests that the hotel is not responsible for theft or vandalism damage. This hotel doesn't even have security cameras to watch the parking lot. Thieves are well aware of this, and they take advantage of the lack of security, especially when they can make a quick getaway along one of the two major streets. We're very familiar with Lubbock and booked this hotel for security reasons. We were disappointed with what we saw. This particular Fairfield also sports a 30-06 sign on their front do

Great location to the loop and Marsha Sharp. Hotel clean and staff friendly. No issues with my room. Plenty of parking. Typical breakfast and hot coffee available.

Friendly staff easy check in and check out. King size bed is comfy the bathroom was big and very clean. Provided with plenty of towels housekeeping even restocked and gave no complaints when asked for more for the next day. My daughter loves the slection of snacks you could purchase at the front desk. Husband loves the fact that you could purchase alcoholic beverages as well! The breakfast was good Liked that they offered fresh fruit. It was very cold when we stayed but they have a very nice outdoor patio that we wished we were able to enjoy! Definitely would recommend this hotel was in a great area where there was plenty of restaurants as well as shopping centers just down the street!

Being one of Marriott's lower level does not stop this place from shining. It appeared every bit as new as the first time I stayed there soon after it opened. From the Keurig coffee maker and breakfast selections to great location, I rate this hotel in the top of places to stay in Lubbock. Tx

We do not recommend Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Lubbock Southwest at (6435 50th Street). The worst Marriott we have ever seen. Apparently, the thermostat is on a “motion sensor”. After requesting another room, we quickly found that it didn’t really matter because it still took 5 hours to cool our room. The thermostat is controlled by the hotel so if you want to sleep well stay somewhere else. Bed was very uncomfortable, pillows were lumpy, and toilet overflowed. Musty rooms.
