Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Hazleton

This really deserves a much better ranking. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The service is alright. The continental breakfast pretty much covers it. However, I could not link to the internet, which I find unacceptable nowadays. I took my phone with me to the front and I was told that my phone is blocking the connection to a public site. This has never before happened to me. Apart from that, the place is alright.

Room was clean & well maintained. Great location easily accessible via highway & walking and/or driving distance to nearby restaurants. Includes hot breakfast with decent offerings to pick from.

Positive: It was conveniently located. The continental breakfast had nice variety. Negative: We were placed in a room next to the kitchen. Unfortunately we were exhausted and did not notice. At 4:30 a.m. staff began preparing for breakfast and we were woken up with loud noises from the kitchen. Bathroom wallpaper and ceiling needed repairs

We needed an overnight stay while driving from New York area to Chicago, and although not right off I-80, it is less than 10 minutes off the exit, so worked out fine. Friendly check-in staff, full of good information. A welcome sign for Marriott Bonvoy members was a nice touch! Good breakfast. Very clean. Very comfortable. Mini fridge in room. Well lit parking. Very close to restaurants, coffee shops, gas, and Penn State branch campus. And I greatly appreciated the friendly sign by the elevators regarding quiet hours. That type of consideration is a sign of good management! We would stay again when the need arises.

Very nice rooms, very good service but the breakfast is the reason it doesn't get a 5 star. Pathetic spread (runny eggs, cold sausages patties) and that's all , coffee wasn't good, bagels and english Muffins were really stale. The hotel needs to do much better with the breakfast, very sad.
