Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Brunswick

Our family stayed overnight as a halfway point down to Orlando. Rooms were clean enough, albeit showing some wear in the bathrooms. (Patches around the toilet plumbing, peeling wallpaper right next to the shower.) Check in and out was simple and the breakfast in the morning was pretty good: muffins, bagels, fruit, eggs/bacon, cereal and a waffle maker. No oatmeal though. The woman working the front desk was kind and personable, and able to get us the extra towels for the kiddos. I would consider this a good value for what we paid. Also, Sam's Club and Mickey D's is right across the street if you're looking for a quick cheap meal. Would stay again!

Surprised that Marriott allows them to use their name. We stay at Fairfield Inns whenever we are on the road and this was not typical for them. Our TV did not work at all. Breakfast could not be called even continental...no muffins, no yogurt, only fruit oranges and 2 brown bananas. Our room looked out on a roof when the hotel did not appear to be near full. I had the feeling that many people live in this hotel and the rental rooms are a just a cover. Need to get Marriott name off this!!

i enjoyed my experience here but i witnessed how the general manager (ashley is her name) treated the staff and i am SICK. i cannot believe what i saw. she was rude and cold to people who were genuinely good staff. i will never stay here again.

The staff was very nice. We had 2 rooms. In my room, the bed had been haphazardly made, not the tight way it normally is, the pillows were kind of odd. I had to unplug the lamp next to my bed to plug in my computer. The bathroom felt dated and like it needed a good scrubbing, new clean grout and caulking. Just did not feel really clean. The toilet in our friend's room had a backup and overflow in the morning. Our friends could not shower or use the toilet. They were simply told that it would be fixed while we were out for the day. All-in-all, not a great Marriott experience. We only stay at Marriott's but will likely not be back to this particular one when we return in the fall.

Need to be updated. Blackout curtains and air conditioner worked great in the rooms. We're not told until check -in that the down stairs air conditioner was out or order (this is where they serve breakfast) or that the gym area and pool area was closed. The elevator wasn't cleaned the entire time we stayed and the halls always had a smell. I had to retrieve my own extra towels because our room did not get cleaned.
