Lovely park & friendly staff whobwill work w/ your schedule for checking in & getting settled, even making you a oacket w/ all the info you need. Smooth system. If you come in late like I did, be sure to drive very slowly & keep an eye out for deer & large bunnies, especially closer to the office where they seem to hang out. Be sure to wear long sleeves. The mosquitos there mean business & you'll be itching for 4-7 days after they bite you (as a Florida man, my skin is normally resilient to such things--trust me).

Nice county run park with full hookups. We only used it as an overnight stop. All sand sites which are fairly level. wifi was so so.

Stayed for 2 nights. Booking was easy. Paid when we checked in. Staff was super friendly. Bought firewood and they delivered to our site. We did primitive camping. Our site had fire pit and picnic table. Has a playground and volleyball nets that the kids enjoyed. The swimming area needs to be cleaned up. Bathrooms were clean and everything worked. My husband enjoyed the fishing pier. The sunset was beautiful from this spot as well. We spent most of the second day at Jekyll Island which is only 25 mins away. My daughter loved seeing the bunnies 💙 Very peaceful and felt safe while here. I would recommend to a friend.

My husband and I love this place!! It is so nice. We stayed in a primitive camping site. We have stayed here multiple times because we like it so much and it is a great price! They have late check in so you can arrive when you like. They have bathrooms with showers, a playground, a marina, an area to swim and more. Only 30 minutes from Jekyll Island which is where we went. We will definitely visit again if we are ever in the area.

I'm a local resident who moved here in April, 2023, 9 years after my wife died. I enjoy catching crabs from the pier. I'm there at high tide 2 to 4 times a week. It's clean, safe, and quiet.
