Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Bend Downtown

I am a loyal Marriott Bonvoy member first. We stayed here over 4 years ago and were not impressed. My family decided to give it another try because of the PRICE. We usually stay at Residence Inn right down the road. Element is way too expensive so why not give it another try. There was an adequate breakfast bar. The staff was EXCEPTIONAL! The place was perfectly clean and even though they were shorthanded because someone didn't show up, the staff was doing double duty all weekend. We needed maintenance because the TV was having issues. He came immediately on a Friday night and stayed until we were happy with his adjustments. My family used the lobby to play games as a group, no problem. We had a birthday party and the staff helped facilitate with what we needed. We lived in the hot tub an

Positive: Well located. Negative: Room had a musty odor unless A/C was set to 70 or less. Carpet was well worn. The price paid per night was probably 25% higher than this room warranted for it’s current condition. The very small indoor pool is very small pool “room” reeked of chlorine.

We had a solid experience and would definitely consider it again for a quick trip. The Highlights: Cleanliness: The rooms were well-maintained and, most importantly, very clean. It’s clear the housekeeping staff takes pride in their work. Family-Friendly: It’s a great spot for those traveling with children. The environment felt safe and welcoming for kids. Value Add-ons: Both breakfast and parking were included in the stay, which made the overall price much more attractive and saved us the hassle of finding a morning meal elsewhere. This was our second stay at this inexpensive and lovely hotel. It’s conveniently located near the freeway for an easy drive to nearby skiing, across the street from the relaxing Pioneer Park, and a short walk along the river trail into the downtown coffee shops and restaurants. We stayed here the first time because of convenience but happily returned a second time after our first positive experience. While the hotel feels modern and spotless and has an excellent buffet-style breakfast what makes this place special is the friendly, helpful, and hardworking staff. We’ll be back many times.

The reviews seemed promising. This place was a awful. Beds were hard and stained. Bathrooms were not cleaned. Hot tub was murky and only one jet ran. Went to front desk and let them know and the lady could not have cared less. The people running this hotel act like they would rather be anywhere but there. Kids screaming and running up and down the halls until 1:30am. We ended up checking out a day early. So disapointing
