Oxford Hotel Bend

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Oxford Hotel, and we can’t recommend it highly enough! Right from the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. They were friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist with any questions we had.||||The hotel itself is centrally located, making it incredibly easy to explore the local attractions. We were just a short walk away from some amazing shops, restaurants, and cultural sites, which made our trip all the more convenient and enjoyable.||||The rooms were clean, well-appointed, and offered a cozy atmosphere that made us feel right at home. The Oxford Hotel has nice rooms and a great location, but unfortunately the customer service really overshadowed the experience. I accidentally left personal items in the room and am 100% certain they were left there. I contacted the hotel multiple times and they kept telling me they would follow up--but no one ever did. I never received a return call like they promised, a resolution, or any form of compensation, which was extremely disappointing for a hotel at this price point. On top of that, the staff I interacted with came across as rude and dismissive rather than helpful. A little accountability or basic courtesy would have gone a long way. This is my third year in a row staying at the Oxford Hotel while in Bend for work, and it continues to be a wonderful experience. From the moment you arrive, the front desk staff is consistently welcoming and friendly. This year, the manager even offered us a glass of bubbly while we waited to check in, which was such a thoughtful and classy touch. The rooms are beautifully appointed and very comfortable. I especially love the soaking tubs, and this year I lucked out with a room that had a balcony, which was a great bonus. I’m also a big fan of the soap bar menu and all the options. It’s a fun detail that makes the stay feel a bit more personalized. The gym is well equipped, and I always appreciate getting my annual Peloton workout in while I’m here. It’s a really nice and hip boutique hotel which all of the other reviews have covered. But I want to give a shout out to the staff, from the valets, the cleaning staff, check-in desk staff and management. They were beyond welcoming! Every time we came or went, they made us feel right at home, and no request was too small. I would come back just because of the staff - it really elevated the experience (for a holiday) from a 5-star resort to a diamond class level 7-star (self-proclaimed) Burj-Al Arab resort.
