Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Afton Star Valley

We checked in and were warmly greeted by the desk clerk. She offered me my choice of rooms. The hotel lobby looks brand new and our room was top notch! I found out that this hotel is 9 years old. Hard to believe. I did some laundry . The cost to wash and dry my clothes was very reasonable. I would recommend this gem to anyone visiting Wyoming. Not too far from Jackson and Grand Teton National Park.

Edit: I was able to speak with the GM Kaylene who comped us a future room and was very pleasant to deal with. Thank you Kaylene. This is a franchised location and the owner has ZERO customer service skills. We reserved my elderly father-in-law a room for a family member’s funeral we were attending. He is on oxygen, unable to get around without a walker and a very easy/sweet man. We thought this would be a nice quiet treat for him where he could relax after his sister’s passing and watch tv (there isn’t a lot he can do anymore). Upon arrival his tv did not work. He notified the front desk who came to his room, checked the tv and did nothing to resolve the problem. They unplugged the tv and left. There was a ton of availability open at the location that night and they could have easily swap

Positive: The customer service was above and beyond. Very friendly and sweet. The room was nice and clean. The bed was comfy and the pillows were good. Negative: The only negative thing was that you can hear every little sound through the thin walls.

Breakfast options were GREAT! Make your own waffles, different egg and pork options, oatmeal with tons of mix ins, cereal, yogurt, and lots more. Staff were all great. We used the hot tub and small pool a lot as there's not much to do in the winter in Afton. The room was big and clean, but the beds are hard.

My room was very comfortable and relaxing. Staff was absolutely amazing. I love this hotel. I was in town for work for a few days and was welcomed like a friend who had come home to visit.
