Extended Stay America Suites- Bakersfield - California Avenue

Initially, I was pleased with my experience and decided to extend my stay for three more days through Expedia. As a night shift RN, I wasn’t able to visit the front desk in time to sign in. When I couldn’t pay the $50 penalty charge by 8 PM because I left my debit card at work, I was unfortunately denied the chance to stay, even though my booking was already paid. I requested to pay the next day after my shift, but I was informed that I had to pay by 8 PM that same day. This situation was frustrating, worsened by the staff's lack of consideration. I trust this will serve as a valuable lesson for the hotel management and staff to prioritize compassion, as exceptional customer service is fundamentally about caring for guests.|Day M. Positive: been staying off and on for months. Spent well close to $2k there to only be treated like a transit person. Sad situation Negative: Manager needs to be more understanding vs change her tone. Had a last minute emergency and ended up getting kicked out. Said i understand and not to do that again but too to let the office know next time. Situation changed and was asked to leave no call,

Rooms are in great condition for a great price. Staff is always great at answering questions and offering tho most help possible whith a smile. Great customer service form each employee. Manager is great at keeping the place and staff organized. Definitely recommend it here. Will stay as long as I can

I recently stayed at Extended Stay America on California Avenue and my experience was extremely disappointing. The front desk staff, specifically Adita and Tasha, were rude and unprofessional throughout my stay. As a disabled guest, I clearly communicated that I could not be placed on the third floor and required reasonable accommodation. Instead of properly addressing my needs, I was given the runaround day after day and repeatedly promised that I would be moved — which never happened during the entire week I was there. On top of that, Adita was especially aggressive and condescending in her tone. Any one have issues with office, about rental days ahead. You ask them how long you have. " They say oh your good though February. Not true. Money problem in there office. They give you receipt when you pay by card. But they never did when paying cash. Get rid of the red head, she walked in on my wife peeing. " She had enough neve to ask her if there was any leaks. As the bathroom light being on. She turned on kitchen light. "Wow. No 24 hour notice. She is rude to residents that have stayed here awhile because she is losing money letting them stay.
