My boyfriend and I had gone to the campground and were very obviously lost and were searching for a certain lot. The “security” for the campground was an older white man with a raging attitude. I rolled the window down and he practically made fun of me for not knowing where I was going or how to navigate the campground and told me “good luck” to finding the lot number I was searching for instead of just assisting us. I don’t know who pissed in his cereal but I would find different “security”. The road had many mud holes and dips that made it difficult to navigate and the place looked extremely run down. Everyone else we came in contact with seemed relatively friendly, but the old guy needs to find a new profession.
Worst campground I’ve ever stayed at! 10/10 would NOT recommend! No cell phone service whatsoever, Wi-Fi is spotty at best. There’s a playground that’s falling apart complete with what looks like toys from a yard sale 30 years ago! Rules are made up that are not on the rule list. What’s ok for others campers is not ok for the rest. And it seems like rules only apply tow the fist 2 rows of campers considering they’re near the entrance and beside the office. And let’s not forget about the viral video of the owner assaulting someone!
I booked a two night tent site and asked for a site with power and water but did not receive it due to there not being any available once I arrived. There are a lot of permanent RVs on site that could do with some tidying up. Over all it was peaceful and quiet. Saturday night there were a few people out chatting but nothing bothersome. I'll keep them on my list if I need a place to camp in the area.
HORRIBLE campground. The roads are awful, we didn’t even stay at the place. The “security guard” is incredibly rude and u helpful. We were lost and looking for a lot and proceeded to essentially call us stupid. It literally just looks like a run down DUMP. Needless to say we will NEVER stay there. If you’re coming to Dahlonega for a getaway, do yourself a favor and DO NOT go here.
Took over ownership of the campground. Never maintained roads, dog droppings everywhere, accosted campers, offered no amenities (with spotty wifi and a bathhouse with no toilet paper), and then created a new profile after they took over the old business because they didn't like the old reviews. They even violated Google reviews policy by leaving themselves a 5 star reviews on the old Google Business Page. Long story short go anywhere else.
