Rooms were horrible. I felt like I was in a dungeon with the squared deep yellow light on the wall. There’s some table lamps but they put out the same deep yellow dinghy feel. The carpet was all ripped up. Couch had a few tears in it. Walls looked like they were falling apart by the windows with dry wall hanging out on the window ledge. Curtains short for no reason other then the one in the living space is short to go over the DIY “built in” ac lol that thing was just a site to see. There was dead lady bugs everywhere. Unsure if that’s a thing in Missouri but our kids had fun picking them up. They found one alive one out of 18. The rooms do not match the entry of the hotel. The reception and bar area got a beautiful face lift! Bar was gorgeous and cozy along with the breakfast area too. Br
Don’t get caught up in the beauty of the lobby and bar area. The hotel rooms have seen better days. I wouldn’t say they were filthy, but certainly not clean to my liking. The rooms wasn’t equipped with a luggage rack, I moved the stool by the desk in the bedroom and there was party streamers under it. The chair in the living room is torn and unstable. The one time we asked for the room to be cleaned in 5 days the beds were made up with the same sheets, the trash was taken out and we had fresh towels. The streamer is till under the desk 😒.||The staff are pleasant and when we did make it to breakfast it was decent.
Their housekeeping and customer service is lacking at this location. We checked in, no offer of water or anything like they usually do. I knew it was going to be downhill from there. We walked into our room and was instantly met with freezing cold temperatures like we were still outside. They had our AC on high blowing cold air. Went to take a shower and there was soap scum all over super dirty and there was yellow stuff on the bottom of the tub. There was also no shampoo and conditioner or shower gel. The bottles in the shower were empty. Had to use a soap bar that was already open. Seems like our room was not ready, they threw clean linens in the room and called it a day. Messaged them in the app about it and got no reply not even a late reply for me to be picked up at the airport I had
Positive: The breakfast was good Negative: Our room’s carpet was soaked and told that they did not have another They transferred us to another room with one king bed at 2 am after hours. The room was on the 6 floor and the air conditioner did not work during an extreme heat wave. Room was dirty.
The hotel is showing its age, but the staff up front, at the bar and at the omelette station made up for the negatives. My only real complaint is the sofa bed was disgusting. Stains everywhere and just dirty. The shuttle driver was amazing too!
