Embassy Suites by Hilton Philadelphia Valley Forge

Based on all the 1 stars, I'm wondering if this place has been renovated recently. We have stayed at a number of Embassy Suites, so we expected what we typically get with their hotels. Aside from one front desk person who was just plain lazy, the rest of the staff was friendly, professional and accommodating. Our room was clean and comfortable with no issues. The breakfast was exactly what we expected. The omelet chef was very entertaining and our omelets delicious. I agree with others that the happy hour was a bit underwhelming, but we enjoyed our drinks and were having dinner at the Cool River restaurant, so we didn't want to eat too much beforehand anyway. BB at the front desk was outstanding in doing her job and more. Always friendly, efficient and helpful BB made our stay more personal. About 1/2 hour after checking out , I realized that I had left a favorite scarf in our room. We drove back and BB immediately took us up to the room and retrieved it from the maid who had cleaned our room already and had saved it in a plastic bag. ||Our inclusive breakfast included excellent made to order omelettes and a full range of other breakfast standards. Definitely the best hotel breakfast we have ever had.

Positive: It was very little I did not like. The rooms were spacious and clean. Of course the breakfast, the cook and the food, delicious. Negative: The pull out couch needs to be replaced. It was dirty looking on the outside. But we didn't need it so everything was very good.

Had our wedding room block here. From the start, Jeannette from Embassy was a rock star. Her communication via email was great and she answered any and all questions I had! She also decorated the bridal getting ready space which was so nice and it was the perfect space for the girls to get ready in. Tasha was also awesome as she showed me to the room and they even gave us a cute little treat/gift! The complimentary breakfast and shuttle was also a nice supplement which helped some of our guests go to the venue from the hotel and vice versa. The hotel is huge (as are the rooms) and there are so many places to hang out and it was nice there was a bar to go back to after the wedding as well! Rooms were clean but definitely needing some updates. The bathroom sink was very slow draining, but to be fair, a maintenence tech came to fix it very soon after we reported it. The shower hardware was beginning to wear out and fall apart. The bed was super comfortable. The staff was said to be super friendly in a lot of the reviews I read prior to deciding to stay there, and they were okay, but a bit reserved. The prices were okay, I guess, considering the other hotels in the region are exorbitant, but again, the rooms could certainly use a facelift. The breakfast was good and there were clean tables to sit at even at the busiest time.
