Elk Creek Rt. 66 RV Park

Over the past 20 years I’ve stayed here a few times on my way back from Colorado. It’s been 8 years since my last stay. I booked on line but when I arrived the site assigned (site 59) was right against a bordering fence. We could barely open the bus door. Add to that our dogs stepped outside and immediately got “goat head stickers” in their paws. I called the phone number to move. No answer, just an auto referral to the website. Without even hooking up we were forced to leave. I left a message and sent an email. No response, just the charge on our credit card. This park used to be lovely. Now the park is full of monthly tenants and the upkeep is non existent. Sad to see. I’ll never be back.

UNBELIEVABLY BAD!! If this campground is under new ownership I can't imagine what it must have been like before. First, my husband had to slide an existing reservation a due to a death in the family. He called & left a message. We never received a confirmation that they received the message. I called later in the week to confirm and the reply was "Yes, I got the message and changed the date." Customer service 101 would be to call and confirm the change. ||When we got to our spot, a permanent resident living in a duct taped trailer with a bare mattress lying in front was using our sewer because the trailer was facing the wrong direction. The tenement on wheels has been there for years because the tires were flat! But then almost every trailer there seems to be a permanent resident

The office sent us the wrong code and sign in for the internet. No support after hours so could not be corrected. Visited with others at the park and was told internet did not work very well. The high lines drooped where we were and we were very lucky our air conditioner was still intact. We had stopped in time, thankfully. A thick tree limb could have ruined our air conditioner but once again we narrowly missed it. It's a shame this place doesn't put up a warning about overhead issues and send the correct codes for the internet. There are many more rv parks in the area to choose from

Wonderful internet. The club house so charming. Lots of coffee and pastries. What I did not like at the club house the maintenance person not nice and kicked us out of there 6pm. We thought it was opened longer. Shower had a broken handle. Nice to walk around. What are the hours of your clubhouse?

Good location, right off I~40 and close to Restaurants, Gas Stations and Historic Route 66 Museum . They are remodeling the clubhouse while we were there. There is laundry facilities, Restrooms/Shower House onsite. I felt safe during our stay at Elk Creek RV Park
