Edge Hotel

A family member was having surgery at Columbia Presbyterian in NYC. We live upstate so staying in a city was the right call. This hotel is five stars, a block and a half away from the hospital, the rooms were small but clean and well appointed. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Hopefully I will stay here again if under better circumstances. My only suggestion is that they act real creamer for the coffee and the lobby, LOL highly highly recommended.

Our team stayed at the Washington Heights Edge Hotel for a business related event. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, with restaurant recommendations, directions and a smile no matter what time of day/night. Our first stay was short, but our second stay was impacted by a winter blizzard. Everyone at The Edge worked together to make sure that we had what we needed and that our stay remained seamless. I would definitely recommend this property.

Checked in at 12:30 am due to arriving by Amtrak train from Boston. Was surprised to still be greeted by such a warm and friendly staff. Room was pleasantly very clean but then was a bit turned off that 2 of my body towels and one hand towel had a clumps of hair in it. Seemed it was from the same person, and then found another of the same hair inside the blow dryer. Love the fragrance of the toiletry item that was provided. Wish lotion was a provided item as well. Location is perfect for visiting Columbia University. I was able to be on foot all day, from visiting the university to finding coffee, breakfast, and dinner. All are available and options to choose from within a few mins walk.

Great location and the staff is very friendly which is unusual in New York these days! Price was ok for Thanksgiving weekend & I never expect big hotel rooms in NYC - so this hotel delivered just what I expected! The location is very close to subway which is a great way to get around. The bedroom and bath were clean, but the decor blanket was not - they replaced it immediately. Also had issue with a TV that only had select channels, and the WiFi kept kicking me out - so Edge could use a Tech upgrade there. If guests have to spend some time at the hotel these things become important. Also agree about other reviews about the thermostat - if they upgraded them to digital it would create energy savings as mine kept turning itself on & off. Bonus points for having windows that opened - always
