Economy Motel

I feel like telling you that this place was awful, but really at just over $30 a night, I guess it was OK. But I've decided I'm spending more of my company's money next time. Although the sign on the doors said "no smoking" there was the smell of smoke in the room, partially covered by strong cleaning solvents. Then late at night someone decided to have a smoke near my door, and all the smoke blew into my room through the under-window HVAC unit. The room needed some fixing up: calking/grout issues, and some previous repairs were clearly very carelessly done. There was no soap in the room, but when I called the lady at the front desk apologized and brought me some, and shampoo. I hate to leave reviews like this, and I’m not one who’s easily disturbed, but wow me and my fiance were so shocked we had to leave early…although the front desk staff was fairly friendly and very helpful, the room was pretty disgusting. You can tell the blankets were not washed, the floor was sticky, there was a used tissue under the desk, a tissue hanging from the bathroom ceiling, pubic hairs in the bed, pillow sheets smelled lien sweaty scalp, and not to mention some pretty intimidating looking people standing around in the front. We had to leave early, didn’t even spend a whole 8 hours in the room. Very disappointing. My advice to staff is please hire someone for proper room cleaning because it isn’t being done at all. Economy Motel has some reasonable hotel rooms. I went to visit a friend of mine who is staying there. The Motel is located in a great spot which is conveniently located outside of Atlantic City. I know the rates are very cheap and the rooms have a mini fridge, microwave, hair dryers, and a small kitchen which has a small countertop with a sink. I would actually stay at the Economy Motel because the rooms were a little spacious for a basic Motel eoom. I didn't visit long and I left to go to Atlantic City which was only a 13 minute drive from the Economy Motel.

Room was "cold" in both temperature and appearance. Yes of course we put the heat on. The curtain on the window didn't even close all the way so we felt like we were being watched the entire time, and we actually were! The lobby of the adjacent motel faced our only room window so all the people coming & going next door had a full view of our room thanks to the ill-fitted curtain. The manager and his wife were very nice, friendly and accommodating. Price was very fair.

I was going on vacation to stay in new jersey to see in laws. I checked into this motel as it was the nearest one. Once I entered my room, there was a foul smell lingering from the bathroom. Someone had left the toilet absolutely obliterated with feces. As if that weren’t enough, there were cockroaches crawling around the floor. The beds had obvious fiber glass sticking out and also had bed bugs. I looked up and saw the ceilings were covered with black mold. I quickly got out of there and stayed the night in my car.
