Economy Inn of Greenville, NC

The man at the front desk was very kind, but the hotel is exactly what you’d expect for the price. I only stayed for one night, arrived late, and left early. Unfortunately, the experience was uncomfortable from the start. When I opened the room door, several roaches fell on me. They were on the floor, walls, beds, and nightstand. I kept all the working lights on overnight just to keep them hidden. At 6:45 a.m. Friday morning, loud jackhammering started on the roof right above my room, along with what sounded like a leaf blower. The bathroom was the cleanest part of the room, but even there, pieces of the shower were sitting on the back of the toilet. I do have a recording of the jackhammer noise if needed. The owner personally contacted me and offered to provide food for Thanksgiving. He then unexpectedly gave us a hotel room key so my children wouldn’t have to sleep in the car. Once I realized the hotel was the Economy Inn, I hesitated but accepted, assuming the employee involved in our prior incident might no longer be there. To avoid any issues, I entered quietly through a side door with my 6-year-old. I stayed at the Economy Inn in Greenville North Carolina location while passing thru on business. The hotel staff was very professional, pleasent and curtious. A friendly environment. It is located in the city close and convenient to restaurants, stores and a lot of businesses. My reservation was handled accurately without problems. The check-in and check-out process was handled professionally. The overall price was affordable and average to other hotel establishments in the area. The room was nice and clean without issues throughout my 3days/ 2 night stay. It was a pleasure doing business with their company and I recommend anyone stay at their hotel. I would recommend that they remodel the appearance. I feel it would bring more customers though. Overall I rate it a 7 on a 10 scale persona

The Economy Inn is a disgusting nightmare. The walls ooze with black mold, the air reeks of damp rot, and rainwater leaks straight through the busted AC unit, dripping onto the filthy carpet and the bed. Roaches scatter across the floors and walls, and the place is infested with bed bugs — thousands of them biting you alive through the sheets. The furniture is sticky, the bathroom smells like sewage, and the whole room feels like it’s rotting from the inside out. You don’t just leave this place — you escape it, sick, itchy, and wondering how it’s even open for business.

No heat in the room, literally covered in roaches. No fitted sheet on the bed. The sheets on the bed were filthy. Absolute worst motel I’ve ever stayed in. Biohazard
