Econo Lodge South Holland - Chicago Southland

The good: Front desk personnel was very nice and accommodating. My room was clean. The bad: The rate was expensive considering no breakfast offered and nothing around walking distance. I stayed at the hotel three days and the race rate increased each day. I tried to negotiate a little better but was unsuccessful.

Yeah so I made a reservation online- email confirmation says pay when check in- get there reservation is cancelled with no update on it being cancelled. booked a new room, he makes you sign a contract AFTER you pay and says fees are all non-refundable. When we walked into our room- A BLUE CHEWED UP PIECE OF GUM was sitting right on the top of the head board. The bed had a few dead flies on it as well as a few really long black strands of hair (obviously not clean). Dead flies on the counter- flies flying around in there- the smell was rancid and stale. I never walked out a room and returned a key so fast- no drive is long enough for me to stay in this raggedy nasty place.

WORSE HOTEL DO NOT STAY HERE! IF I COULD DO ZERO STARS I WOULD! They took my money and didn't even compensate me or give me a room. Still haven't received my money yet but I'm going to call my bank because this is ridiculous. The customer service is HORRIBLE. Do not waste your time. They weren't trying to compensate others for non working tvs. Extremely money hungry.

Positive: the staff Negative: not there fault, but one of the guest was bothering me

Front desk clerk wasn’t very friendly and he needs to work on his communication skills. Room didn’t have a desk chair. The shower pressure is too low and temperature fluctuates on its own. What bothered me the most, when checking out, the lobby was open, but customers were not allowed to stand in that area. It was cold that morning with 3 customers standing at the desk like sardines.
