Econo Lodge Mechanicsburg - Harrisburg West

Well I can just say that this establishment doesn’t even deserve a 1 star; needs renovation. Was worse than expected of an EconoLodge motel/hotel. And Choice Hotels should reconsider this place in their listings unless renovations are done. The room # 135 they gave me was really run down, smell was not comfortable(reeked of cigarettes smells), bathroom didn’t even have shower curtain. At least the A/C functioned properly. I only stopped here for a night during traveling.

The Ac didn’t work well. The towels were stained. There were stains on the ceiling.  The baseboard was broken and off the wall. There was no outlet receptacle cover. The overhead light was blinking. The curtains were broken and light from outside came in. The shower control was coming off the wall.  The extra doorlock was broken. There were stains on the top comforter.

I would not stay here unless it is your absolute last resort, you will never have consistent hot water it will fluctuate, the paint is peeling in the tiny bathroom, the room was superficial clean, a little moving of beds and nightstands showed trash, gum, hair and other items not ours 🤢 the owner's only care about getting money for the place and not fixing anything in any of the rooms. You won't have drawers in the room either they are broken and falling apart, just not a good facility and should not be a choice hotel at all, more like a dump motel.

I reserved a king bed non-smoking room and got a 2 full bed smoking room. Bathroom light did not work, carpet not vacuumed. Dated bathroom and appeared to have permanent residents in the adjoining rooms. Won't be back. Choice Hotels, needs to screen/qualify their properties!

Pretty good place to stay not the best not the worst. Pricing was reasonable nothing crazy about it. My only complaint was the location was very secluded making it difficult to get places since it wasn’t the most accessible place. However good experience I would recommended for a short trip when you need something on the cheaper end with quality.
