Econo Lodge Junction City I-70 Near Fort Riley

Econo Lodge - Whatever you do, don't check in past 9:00 pm! They make you stand at a window outside in the FREEZING cold and won't even let you come in the lobby to check in. Never in my life have I had to stand outside and wait to be checked in. Can't blame the employees, they're just following the "rules". Must be a pretty dicey neighborhood. Speaking of which - there was little or no Lighting on or around the building. Very dark and scary when you're arriving late at night. I didn't feel my vehicle was safe. Regarding the so-called Continental breakfast, don't believe the sign outside - or the advertisement on the internet. There is no breakfast of any kind- not even coffee! They must allow pets cuz there was dog hair all over the carpet in my room, and no, I don't have pets. Don't loo

First, they pay for reviews on Google Maps. In their questionnaire, there is a suggestion of $5 discount for every review guest writes. That means, don't trust to other reviews, especially positive ones.||I stayed here because I have no other alternative. As an active duty service member I came to Fort RIley for PCS and I needed a place to stay while waiting for my further orders. Military base provided me information about this hotel only, so I had no other alternatives. My experience was extremely unpleasant here. But I needed to tolerate it because I had no other choice and it is not so easy to search for another place and move with all 5 military bags when you have no car.||What is more important, the reception lady is expremely unfriendly and disrespectful. Staff there was quite friendly. They allowed me to check in almost an hour prior to posted check-in time. I am grateful because I really needed to get off the road and get some sleep. Access to parking lot was good. They also gave good instructions where to find local fast food restaurants. Room was clean. Mattress was quite comfortable. Air conditioner worked as supposed to. I recommend all bathroom fans be repaired and made functional. I tell all hotel chains - Three out of four random bathroom fans across multiple motel chains fail to function at all. Better motels have functional fans.

My family was driving across country from Washington to Arkansas and we happened to book them last minute stay. The hotel is older looking from the outside and inside but the service and dedication that the staff provides is amazing and the rooms are super clean. We got queen bed room with microwave and fridge, and a two seat dining table, along with a very clean bathroom. The staff is wonderful and they're able to create a sense of safety for their visitors. I would highly recommend.

I initially left a positive review as the accommodations were not bad for the price. However, after checking out I realized we were charged 3 times for our one night stay, and in addition to that there was a daily pending charge each day since we’d left. I called the hotel and was told that I needed to call corporate. Corporate then told me that I needed to talk to the hotel. After my call with corporate, I was transferred to a promotional line trying to sell me a vacation (HA!). I was told I would be hearing from the hotel manager (did not happen). The issue is still unresolved, and we will not be staying with this chain of hotels again.
