Econo Lodge Ithaca Airport

I booked this hotel for may 15-18 for a graduation, i DIDN'T see anything about no refunds, i paid over $450.00. I have some medical condition as does my wife i asked for a refund due to travel restrictions, this gives 4 months to re-book this room. I took insurance which i never do i think probably because of travel restrictions. When i asked for a refund i was told no there are No refunds . I called the insurance which should of gotten a refund but they were told the same to tell me No refunds. Not only am i giving them a bad review i will be calling the appropriate agencies unless i get my refund. I will remove this review when i get a refund.

Positive: The bed was very comfortable. Nice and firm and the room smelled fresh and clean. Negative: This hotel needs a face lift. The place looks pretty beat up. The parking is limited. Breakfast was not offered. Just the absolute bare minimum.

The hotel needs new carpets throughout. I have never stayed in a place with such yucky carpets throughout the room, hallways, etc. Disgusting stains were everywhere. It was also obvious they don't vacuum the rooms and hallways. There wasn't even a marquis to denote "Econo Lodge" outside the building. The parking lot was also all torn up. Its location was good, and the shower was good. That's it.

I had a number of problems. First: there is no clearly visible sign indication where this motel is located. It is on the south side of a mall across a large mall parking lot with no signage indicating a motel. It looks like an apartment building. I had to go to another hotel to find our where it was. Second problem: The water faucet for the bathroom sink did not work. It took enormous force to pull the handle out for this Delta faucet. Then if rotated to the hot side, it never provided hot water, only cold water. This faucet clearly needs to be replaced. Third problem: When I was in the shower, the towel bar fell off the wall dropping all the towels on the floor. The room definitely needs some maintenance.

Very sketchy "hotel". There is a mobile police camera system in the parking lot and for good reason. The riff raff standing out front seeming drugged out of their minds was scary enough, but then the door to our room had a gap at the bottom you could see into! Did NOT shower and thank goodness we only stayed 2 nights. We got NO sleep for fear of something happening. I say that because the outer part of our door already had gouges consistent with being forcibly pried open in the past.|Spend more money and do NOT risk staying here!!!
