Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Hardeeville-I-95

I wanted to visit Savannah, GA for Halloween, but didn’t want to spend a bunch on a hotel - so I booked here. Upon arrival, the woman behind the desk was extremely kind and even gave recommendations to different places in Savannah, which I thought was very nice. When I arrived in my room, I immediately noticed how dated and unclean everything looked. I called to double check my room was cleaned and was assured that it was done the day before, but everything was stained or rusted. I was offered a deep clean of the room the next day, but not that night as housekeeping was understandably gone for the day. All the staff was kind and courteous, the room was clean. I get cookies almost every night and breakfast every morning. So I can't complain. I enjoyed my stay.

Zero should be the score. Got there front desk okay. Got to my room. Well okay make the best of this I thought. Inside the room. Well I guess I am wearing sandals in the shower. Smelled weird. Dead fly on the wall. Terrible lighting. There was a strange sound, thought it was a car alarm. Nope fire truck outside my room. Fire 4 doors down. Not bad enough power goes out. Call front deal after awhile. It will be back on soon. 20 minutes later. Nothing. I packed up and left. I had enough of this place in 1 1/2 hours. After traveling for 17 hours.Waste of time and money!

This place feels less like a hotel and more like a social experiment in how little human involvement you can get away with. Check-in was done through a kiosk, where you’re forced to talk to someone who is clearly overseas and has no actual connection to the property. It felt impersonal, confusing, and borderline sketchy. If there’s a problem, you’re basically arguing with a screen while standing in a dingy lobby. There was no on-site staff available, no sense of security, and no reassurance that anyone there actually cares what happens to guests. The room itself was disgusting. Stained carpets, dirty surfaces, and an overall smell that suggested the room hadn’t been properly cleaned in a long time. Wish I could give a Zero. Lady at check in was very nice. Room was vile, filthy and gross. I didn’t expect much of an Econo Lodge. Just needed to crash for a few hours on the way home from Florida. This place didn’t just miss 1 cleaning. It had not been cleaned properly in a long time and there was hair in the sink. It was cold so we turned on the heat, until what smelled like burning flesh seemed to ooze from the unit. Wish I had read the reviews ahead of time. They offered free breakfast, but the room was so gross we wanted nothing to do with any food they had to offer.
