Econo Lodge in Helen, GA

This hotel is no longer a Budgetel in operation. This is an old site. If you zoom in on Google you will see that it is actually an econo Lodge same building. The owner has not taken it down for whatever reason. The owner still owns it but under a different brand. So if you book you will not be in their system and if they're full you have a problem. The phone number and address still ring to the econo Lodge but they will not have you in their system. The email for the owner was never responded to. I was sent to a sister location hotel for slightly more expensive stay and no pool.

Got a room for 2. Ended up with several more occupants!!! BUGS!! Had to shake all our things out before we left. Location was decent. Pretty close to the strip.. staff was friendly.

Location is great. Price is good. However, the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. Our bathroom floor looked as if it had not been cleaned in months. We had to ask twice for towels and toilet paper. No one came to our room for anything the entire stay. Not even to clean and bring fresh linens. The breakfast area was satisfactory if you overlooked the food that was on the floor (which remained there for the duration of our 3 night/4 day stay). Beds were the most uncomfortable I've experienced in a hotel. We didn't use the pool. Will not stay here again.

Our room was very clean. The bedsheets were nice crisp and clean. Loved the indoor pool and convenient to everything. Gentleman behind the desk is very nice.

We recently had a 2 night stay at the Budgetel Inn and Suites in Helen Ga. We've stayed here before and wasn't so bad, but not true this time. First the positives...it was quiet, because no one else was there besides us and another couple. The shower was nice. There were lots of channels on the large flat screen tv. That's about it. Now for the negatives. No military discount..guy at check in said it was too late since I booked online...true...but chose to pay at check in. Still no discount. The room looked clean-ish, but on closer inspection there was hair in the floor of bathroom. The TV screen was filthy. The beds looked clean, but when there are other unclean issues it makes you wonder. So we tolerated those issues and stayed because it was quiet. So they advertise a continental breakf
