Econo Lodge Hornell

Positive: It is not near a highway so it was quiet. It had a new tv. Negative: I understood it was an old building but it was not clean. There was still old coffee filter and grounds in the coffee pot. It was not clean except for the sheets. The bathroom tub and shower walls were so dirty I didn't even take a shower.

not worth the points I used, requested a balcony room (not available) no place to put your luggage on, no hangers on the cheap rack hanging on wall, thank God I didn't need to use the air conditioner (the filter was very dirty), my flat bed sheet smelled of overused fabric softener (nose was itchy,eyes were scratchy-watery), no smoke detector installed, handles broken on 2 of the 3 drawers, no phone (or book), no clock/radio, no area information (map) available, 1 small garbage can, no info on how to use the TV, not the breakfast advertised (no fruit, cereal,milk,waffles,hot water. The OJ was not kept chilled).

I stayed there for 3 months alone and working on a job local. This place is ideal for temporary workers and transient people that can't afford the cost of a regular hotel. The staff there are very accommodating and friendly, they will do everything they can to make your stay a pleasant one. I was well taken care of and would stay there again.

The owner of this location needs to invest more in this property so that the toilet lines don’t keep getting clogged, the hot water doesn’t keep going out and their employees don’t continually get overworked. This hotel is the best thing going for a cost-effective option in Hornell, but guests need to be able to count on hot water and not have to be moved to another room (if even available!) whenever their toilet overflows. More people need to work the front desk and maintenance needs to be available on weekends. Some of the employees who live on-site have to pay rent and everyone could probably use a raise in pay. Just these few changes will always keep this hotel full all-year round. No need for any fancy upgrades… this hotel is all that so many in Hornell require. Thank you for keeping

My partner Graham and I have been staying at the Econo Lodge for an extended period of time now, and it has been nice! The hotel staff are absolutely beautiful and amazing. They greet you in passing, and make sure that you are enjoying your stay. Everything was clean, and working, and maintained fairly well. I would definitely choose the Econo Lodge again. Thank you for making our stay a good one!! :)
